Q: How do I use this system?
This online giving system (Shelby Webview) is part of a larger system provided by Shelby, Inc. Shelby, Inc. is the company that created the software that manages our entire church database. Shelby Webview is the secure online system that provides church members access to their personal membership data including personal contributions and contribution records. Once you go to the online giving section, you will have the ability to create a username and password. This will give you the ability to return to online giving without having to re-enter your personal data. It also gives you access to your contribution records.
Q: Why is the system not set up for credit card contributions?
We do not want to encourage the creation of credit card debt in order to make contributions to Harvester Christian Church. For more information, see "Words of caution about credit cards."
Q: What accounts may I contribute to?
The system is set up to allow you to enter your tithe amount and then divide your offerings into different categories. If you wish to contribute your offerings to one or more account, you may enter your contribution amounts into the following categories in the Purposes section:

Q: When may I use the online giving system?
The system is available 24 hours per day and 7 days per week. You can access it through our website from anywhere. To start the process, simply click on “Begin Online Giving.”
Q: Is giving online safe and secure?
Yes, the company providing service to us is named Shelby, Inc. They provide a complete web-based hosted solution to ensure security of information. They use 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption that is supported by web standards.
They use industry standard encryption algorithms for storing all sensitive information and for purging unneeded sensitive information. Shelby Webview complies with all standards published by major credit card companies for securing credit card information. (*Read more details below about information security.)
Harvester Christian Church does not store any of this information on our church computers.
*This web-based software product gives you remote access to your Shelby data, 24 hours a day - 7 days a week, by using any Internet connection. You may view and/or update information about yourself and your family by using this program. Later, the church/organization that you are a member of will update their database with this information (after it has been reviewed for accuracy).
ShelbyWEBVIEW is safe and secure. Each person has their own unique login and password that guarantees protection against unauthorized access. Non-members may register and will be given a login and password after they have been added to the database. Members can change personal data to reflect moving, changed phones, new or changed e-mail address, etc. As a bonus, you will see current news and announcements from your church/organization displayed on the login page.
