Deuteronomy 6:5-9
“And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength.  And you must commit yourself to these commands I am giving you today.  Repeat them again and again to your children.  Talk about them when you are at home and when you are away on a journey, when you are lying down and when you are getting up again.  Tie them to your hands as a reminder, and wear them on your forehead.  Write them on the doorpost of your house and on your gates.”

Consider this:

  • What if we taught our kids to love God with all their heart, soul and strength?

  • What if we taught our kids to trust in God no matter what is going on in their lives?
  • What if we taught our kids to make wise choices?
  • What if we taught our kids to share their faith with their friends?
  • What if we taught our kids to value their faith and put their Christian walk above all else?

What if we taught all of these things in our homes on a daily, minute by minute basis?  After all, parents are the number one influence in a young child’s life.  We could make a difference not only in our child’s life but the life of their friends and others around them.

It is our hope as a church family to be able to come along side the family in this very effort.  We have parent "take-homes" and weekly family devotionals below to help your child learn the principles taught on Sunday. Please visit our website often to find various helps for you, the parent.

Family Faith Nights

Does your family schedule get pretty busy?  Here a few ways to integrate some intentional spritual mentoring into your day.

  • Service:  Chose a project that helps someone else, such as making a meal together to give to another family.
  • Prayer Time:  Pray for a friend, family member, our country or our church for specified amount of time.
  • Praise and Thanksgiving:  Make a list of things you are thankful for and put them on a large chart that you can display for everyone to see daily.  Incorporate thanking  God for these things/people into your regular prayer times.
  • Celebrate:  Celebrate those who have blessed you as a family.  Fox example, bake some thing special to bring to a teacher, neighbor or friend.
